New Piece
I owe a big piece of work.
Trying to get inspired here about something over in Bermuda I can't see anymore.
Trying to find an image with a path that invites you in.
I got all my supplies ready, fluorescent acrylics for the underpainting,
Small glass jars with lids (salsa and pesto),
A few new brushes.
"Bright" - short and strong - is my favorite brush.
The big stretcher is strong and ready.
It was made by my father-in-law as a trade for helping with two tax returns - thanks to my comparative computer savy with online, personal tax-return software.
The big, white, quadruple-primed and sanded surface stares at me in my living room.
It is mid-May, cold and rainy, thank-goodness.

Easter
Bake a chocolate cake
Crumble while still warm
Mix in an entire tub of chocolate icing
With your hands
Shape into eggs
Lollipop style them
Freeze
One at a time
Liberate the eggs from the freezer
Drizzle with microwave-melted chocolate coloured buttons
And sprinkles of your choice
Share with friends

Grey April
Lilac buds and snow in the field behind our rural Ontario house.
Looking for any sign of any colour after returning from the pastel and highkey coloured landscape of Bermuda.
